Music has always played a significant role in my life. In June of 2022, I found myself struggling with various concepts and ideas. Often, I was unable to implement or work upon the ideas I had written down. 'Come to Life' by Kanye West also plays into this concept.

This song has always evoked a plethora of emotions in me, which drew me towards giving it a visual interpretation. Feeling an immediate connection with the lyrics, my intention was to physically convey these emotions in some way. The overarching theme I have visualized is how our goals, ideals, and hopes are frequently broken by the different vices at work in our daily lives.

Everyone will have a different interpretation of what the song implies. My attempt was to visually reproduce what the song means to me while also trying to understand, grasp, and recreate Kanye's vision through it.

As an art student in New York a lot of the inspiration for me comes from the city itself.
